A Skålleague receives the Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera Award

On July 6, our beloved city of Córdoba celebrated its 450th anniversary.

Córdoba, so well known as 'la Docta', for its universities and its educational prestige.

As part of the celebrations, the Municipality presented the Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera Award in honor of the founding nobleman, the award is given to local leaders for projecting the values of Córdoba in activities such as culture, health, education, sports, journalism, neighborhood communities, commerce, entrepreneurship and institutions.

As far as tourism is concerned, until not long ago, there were only technical degrees, then the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism was created in one of the private universities of our province. The mentor of this degree is our dear Skålleague Marta Botti, whom the government of the city has distinguished with a statuette for her contribution to the formation of professionals in tourism, she was also Director of Tourism of the city of Córdoba.

At the same time, she created the first Tourism Research Institute (IDITUR). In her research, she crossed her career with the figure of José Gabriel del Rosario Brochero, in the context of his beatification. His studies on the impact of faith became his passion and, as a result, the first Observatory of Religious Tourism was born, whose initial stage was carried out thanks to the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation and the Blas Pascal University.

We are extremely proud of this distinction to our dear friend.

Congratulations, Marta!
